A Weight Management Tool for Adult Cats

This tool was designed to aid the veterinary health care team in making nutritional assessments and recommendations to help their patients maintain or achieve their healthy weight. You can share this information with clients with a take-home worksheet. Use the report function to generate a summary of the calculation.

We are providing two methods of estimating the initial daily calorie intake for weight management: using the pet's current caloric intake or if current caloric intake is unknown, the auto-calculate feature will calculate the estimated initial daily calories for weight management.CloseAny daily calorie recommendation is a starting recommendation. Please monitor the pets body weight and adjust as needed to achieve ideal weight.
A variety of factors should be considered when assessing ideal weight: Illness, lactation or other special health conditions; environmental factors, breed and age of the animal all play a role.Close
